Dustin May held Texas to one run through 4.1 innings and struck out four, yet the Rangers eventually broke through against the Brewers’ pitching staff. Gary Sanchez answered with a two-run homer and finished 1-for-3, but Milwaukee’s offense managed only two additional runs after the first inning and went scoreless in the eighth and ninth.

The result gives Texas a needed road win against an 85-52 Milwaukee club and shows the Rangers can recover after conceding the first punch. For the Brewers, the loss is less about Sanchez’s production than the failure to protect a two-run lead once Texas began stringing together quality at-bats. Milwaukee remains in position to absorb a setback, but Texas leaves with evidence that its lineup can pressure a strong opponent through the full game.
