Patrick Bailey was Cleveland's lone consistent threat, going 2-for-3 in a shutout that left the Guardians unable to capitalize on their opportunities.

The Royals moved to 61-75 with a road win built on starting-pitch dominance and timely power, while Cleveland fell to 68-67 after being held scoreless at home.
